Black and white, African Safari, and Naomi! (DVF Review from #NYFW)

We waited, and it was totally worth it! I’m talking about the highly anticipated DVF runway show.  The first look: a black and white frock with a play on gold details.  And yet, there were more silhouettes of the classic color combo with pops of red, exotic delicates, and what seemed to be a walk on the wild side, with an African Safari print.  But that’s not all.  As with many of the designers, Mrs. Furstenberg gave us bra-like cropped tops for the Spring 2014 collection, and an unusual play on rope/tassel details.  Oh it was ingenious.  And so were the corkscrew material and gold metallic dresses and shorts.

Just when you thought it was over, the last look, or should we say the final model, caused our heart to stop.  All hail to the Queen…yep, Naomi, as in Naomi Campbell! Diane von Furstenberg certainly could take a bow after her indigenous presentation, or maybe a strut like a princess to the runway tunes!
