Tribal prints, Drapes, and our personal Oasis (Donna Karen Review #NYFW)

by YC

First look

From tribal themed prints (and the music to back it up) to plunging necklines and leather necklaces, the Donna Karen spring 2014 collection gave us bliss in a serene oasis ambience at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  The first look: a beautifully draped dress, accompanied with a jacket, accented with a drop-waist leather belt and a leather medallion neckwear. More belts and medallions followed, as well as hues of blue, and tribal gold and black prints donning the runway, with an abundance of plunging necklines.  In fact, it was all about the plunge, including the oversized button down, left open for added sexiness.

Delicate symmetrical gowns, ranging in prints and shades of rust reminded us all of those anticipated spring months with light winds, blue water, and a Mai Tai or two...our personal Oasis.
