Clean Your Brush!

If you are a “Bougie Girl” then more than likely you have an interest in makeup! Oh, it’s so fun! In the whole hustle and bustle of daily application, the collection of colors and powder lingers onto your brushes.  In other words, a dirty brush! I know you dread it, but it has to be done, you must clean your brushes...every week!
Adirty brush can be very harmful on your skin, as it carries bacteria that can induce breakout (not cute).  Below is how I clean my brushes:

Start with warm water and mild shampoo

Submerge the brush into the water and swish around

As you're cleaning your brush, the water should darken

To make sure your brush is clean, replace the bowl with clean water and swirl the brush around.  The water should remain clear with a clean brush

Squeeze out the excess water

Place brush on the edge of the counter to let it air dry and to drain any water
*NOTE: A wet brush standing up causes the water to flow downward and may loosen the glue in the brush*

  1. Thanks for the reminder! Instead of using the shampoo I bought for my hair, I save and use the ones that are supplied by hotels when I visit.
