| British Models take to the stage at the Closing Ceremony for the Olympics |
It’s been two weeks of hard-core competition in the sport’s
arena, as countries met up to battle it out with one goal in mind: The Olympic
gold medal. We sat on the
sidelines [in front of the television] wanting the very same thing for our
athletes, until last night’s closing ceremony. It was an Ode to British culture, as some of the greatest
entertainers from the UK performed popular tunes that had us up and dancing –
yes, I danced when the Spice Girls hit the stage!
I stated in a recent article that for the first time ever,
the gold medal had competition with fashion, and it was proven to be the ABSOLUTE truth
when British models Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Jordan Dunn, Lily Cole, Stella
Tennant, Lily Donaldson, Karen Elson, and Georgia May Jagger turned the stage
into a Midas catwalk! Dripping in gold couture gowns, designed from popular British
fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Burberry, and more! Now that was a golden way to end a celebration!
